They are more common in Northern India, although Indian Restaurants outside of India may offer both naans and rotis, since the fluffy yeast breads and flat breads are in equally high demand. Chapatti flour is used to make an array of Indian flat breads such as chapatti, roti, parantha, poori, naan, tandoori rotis.

How to make chapatis :

To make chapatis, mix one cup of flour with a pinch of salt and add two tablespoons of oil or melted ghee. Add around 1/3 cup water and knead, forming a thick dough. Break off small pieces of the dough, form balls, and roll the balls out. Cook these basic chapatis on a griddle, and serve warm.

Main Ingredients to Atta chakuli:

• Atta Flour ( White ) – 300 gm
Sugar – 200 gm
Rava – 75 gm
• Mahuri (Aniseeds) – 2 tsp
• Ripe Banana – 2 (smashed)
Ghee – to taste
Salt – small quantity

Preparation Method :

Add Atta flour,sugar,rava,mahuri (Aniseeds),banana,salt as per taste and add water to make a semi liquid batter.Whip well and keep it for 25 to 30 mins.Then Heat non stick tawa on a medium flame.Spread a little ghee approxmately 1 tsp and spread it on the tawa like a dosa.After one minute turn the pitha,when you get golden brown at each side, remove it from tawa and Serve Hot.
